Community Supported Agriculture

DUE TO COVID, we are not doing a CSA this year. Please support the farm at one of the local farmers markets.

You can find us at the Railcar Farmers Market of Van Alstyne on Tuesdays from 4-7pm.

You can find out more information on their Facebook page:

Thank you for understanding.

Community Supported Agriculture is a direct partnership with you and our farm.  As a partner in our farm you will receive a weekly share of seasonal items we provide, giving your family quality produce that’s chemical and pesticide free, and insuring us a constant market.  The share will need to be picked up weekly at our farm or host location specified during the growing season, the first week to be announced at a later date.

Our goal is to provide 24 weeks of produce.  You will receive at least 8-10 different types of vegetables and herbs.  The choice of what goes into the share is determined by what is in season and available for harvest on the farm.  It is each members responsibility to pick up their share at the farm or host location specified.  Credit will be given only if we are negligent in our responsibilities as providers, or are unable to produce a weekly share.

The cost of each share is $30 per week, providing for a family of four.  Each member will commit to four weeks of shares.  The amount will be paid in advance.  After the four week period, the member will have the option to continue for the next four weeks.  If the decision is made not to continue your shares, the spot will be filled by the next member on our waiting list.

Our farm produces cage free, hand-gathered eggs, pasture raised chickens and heirloom turkeys. We will periodically have homemade baked goods, homemade soaps, homemade pickles, jams, jellies along with a variety of holiday goodies to look forward to.  If there happens to be a shortage of produce for shares in any week, we will include a choice of these items so that you will receive full value for your share.

All of our animals are fed a non-GMO feed. We do not use antibiotics, pesticides or chemicals in the pastures or gardens.

We grow over 40 varieties of vegetables and herbs.  We use organic, heirloom, non-GMO seeds wherever possible.  As our farm grows we hope to add more items each year.  With God’s blessing we’ll harvest for three seasons:

Spring:     Lettuces, Spinach, Onions, Cabbage, Broccoli, Potatoes, Cauliflower,
Beets, Swiss Chard, Sweet Peas, Carrots, Radishes, Snow Pea Pods

Summer:  Garlic, Peppers, Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Squashes, Eggplant, Melons,
Beans, Okra, Assorted Herbs, Cantaloupe

Fall:          Sweet Potatoes, Winter Squash, Pumpkins, Decorative Gourds, Strawberries

Herbs:      Basil, Lemon Basil, Dark Opal Basil, Sage, Marjoram, Spearmint, Thyme,
Savory, Chervil, Rosemary, Chives

To become a member of the farm, please fill out his CSA Membership Application for 2015 and return it to us with a small deposit of $30 to hold your spot.  The remainder of the first month’s share fee of $90.00 needs to paid when you pick up your first share, each subsequent months fee needs to be paid with the first share of that month.

Thank you for becoming a farm family member and contributing to our mission of being a sustainable farm, growing healthy, nutritious non-GMO foods for your family and ours.  Baskets will be provided and need to be returned for the following weeks pick up.  We are looking for to the upcoming year of growing.
